Super Jarin's new trick

Jarin has graduated to NO TRAINING WHEELS. He just took off when we were seeing if he could. He is so proud, and he thinks that he is super fast. It is adorable. The only down fall to it is that he can go off the road better so he goes through about a tube a day. It's alright though he figured out how to use the air compressor so he just parks his bike in the garage and airs up the tire when it goes flat.

Happy Birthday Princess Madilyn

My Baby turned 2 years old on October 1st. She got to dress up like a princess all day. She totally loved it. She sang happy birthday to Madi all day long. She got a baby and a stroller and I don't think she has set it down since then. She is so sweet. She always makes us feel good.

6 Years and still in love.

Today is our sixth anniversary. I can hardly believe it has been that long ago. I have been remembering when we first dated. It was very sudden and unexpected and even kind of
unwanted at that very time. I just couldn't stop thinking about my Nolan and how much I was falling in true love with him. I debated on whether to go to collage and I had made up my mind that that was what I was doing. But I think that the good man upstairs knew otherwise. He wouldn't let me forget about Nolan, as hard as I would try. I loved this man more than anything, and although I was aware that I was an 18 year old baby, I had to marry him or I would regret it forever. I love him more that I could ever imagine. I have never once regretted my choice to stay home and be his wife. He is my everything.

Things I love about Nolan are:
  • When he has hat hair, or in his suit he is so uncontrollably attractive. Sorry ladies I do have the hottest husband alive.
  • He will work at taco bell if he has to just to support me and our family. He works hard everyday all day long and he works without complaining.
  • He is not lazy. I don't think i could be married to someone who was lazy. I call him super man cus he never stops.
  • He can do anything. He never has to take our car to the shop cus somehow he knows how to fix it. If not he trys anyways. He amazes me cus he is a master and anything.
  • He cooks the best french toast in the whole world. He loves to cook, and everything he makes is yummy. BIG PLUS when i'm tired.
  • He is Madi's prince charming and Jarin's super hero.
  • He has a strong testimony in the gospel and takes his church callings seriously. He wants to do good.
  • He plays his guitar and sings to me. He always sings songs that remind him of me.
  • He is always helping people. He is so giving.
  • He is really romantic in his own little ways. The best part is that I know when he is, and no one else does.
  • He brags about me to his friends and family. I love that he loves me like that.
  • He is my best friend and my sweetheart.

little critters all around

We have had some fun adventures with wildlife around our house this past week.
It all began when i was laying in bed and could hear this scratchity scratch in the sealing above..... a mouse house i totally freeked out and put traps everywhere... and i caught that sucker. That will teach him to wake me up in the middle of the night.

Monday we came home to some huge stuffed animals strait from the taxidermist. Nolan's elk and his brothers lion were finished this week. So i have some huge critters in my upstairs loft. I do admit i think their kinda cool but they would be even more awesome in someone elses house.
Than we found a little frog in grandma's house and Jarin asked if he could be our pet. So he named him rocky. We made an awesome cage for him and then went to bed. Next morning that new little pet frog was M.I.A. he must have jumped out in the night...So somewhere in our house little rocky found a new home. I had to tell Jarin that he went to heaven cus i was sick of him looking under everything.
The wonderful adventures continue when i was folding laundry a couple of days ago and could hear this chirping noise. I thaught oh crap!!!! So i began to investigate and there are some little sparrows that got into the vent that is in the bathroom (it was one of those things we never finished when we built our house). Chirp Chirp Chirpity Chirp!! So we found one of them in our garage. And the hunt went on. Nolan, me, and the kids were in our garage trying to get this bird out. It was so funny. The poor thing was so wore out that he just landed on the ground and nolan picked him up and put him outside. The kids thaught it was great. We will be buying a vent cover tomorrow...
I just hope that is all for a while. I am deciding that i don't like pets......

These kids are the best thing that I could ever want or need....

We are just loving summer. We planted a field of corn behind our house and we are trying out our luck on a green house this year. I just hope something grows in there. Nolan is still trying to find construction jobs where he can and we're hoping a good steady job will come our way soon. We are so blessed to have what we have though and i somehow now things will work out. I just love my kids and they keep me busy non stop. Life seems to be so hectic all the time but when people ask me what i've been up to i just don't know. Funny how that is huh...

The wonderful world of children

The past little while Nolan has been working in colorado so i just loaded the kids up and tagged along. It was kind of fun to camp right by dad's work Jarin had my little nephew Brycen to play with so that added to the fun. One day we went to 4 corners, It was exciting! But it is so good to be home.

I'm feeling rather old

My wonderful birthday cake.

Jarin thaught that I needed a picture for my birthday.
{ He is the one behind the camera.}

Happy Birthday to me! I just turned 24 i know i am so old!!! Ha Ha. For this whole year i thaught that i was going to turn 25 but my sister just turned 22 and i just couldn't figure out why i was all the sudden so much older than her and then i recalculated and found out i was a year younger that i thaught. Funny how that is huh? I didn't do to much for the special day i just burnt my cake and forgot to buy candles and icecream, my husband didn't regester that it was his job. and i balanced my check book{DEPRESSING} and went to church and real life just continued. Than Nolan surprised me he did plan a whole get away for me and him so i was alright with the day in the end. I love him, he is quite a guy. After so long though it is funner just to forget about having another birthday.

Warm weather brings lots of fun...

We have been really busy already this summer. Well Spring... We have been painting our house...BY HAND don't ask me why I do some of the things I do. Me and Jarin and my wonerful mom who i might add should have the Mother of the Year award, have been working hard to finish the project. And we are almost completely done. Nolan will have to make the finishing touches. I am not brave enough to stand on a ladder inside of a bachoe bucket.
Madilyn is loving the warm sun too. She and Jarin play outside all day long. By the time they come inside they are covered in dirt. They love to play on our trampoline too. Madi fell off it though last week and had a black eye and a huge scrap on her head. It was a dramatic molment. She is doing just fine though. No broken bones at least.

o

Jarin is so funny he drives his little red car all over the neighborhood and "goes to work" every morning where grandpa Duke parks his big truck, bachoe, paver, and 4 wheeler. He plays on them for hours. Don't worry he knows to bring in the keys on those ones Ha Ha. He also hauls dirt in his wagon and wheel berrow. With his shovel. I don't think we have to worry about him not liking to work he is only 4 and already thinks that it is the coolest thing ever invented. We just have to keep him thinking that. He is always good for a laugh.

And last of all things that this past month has brought to us is our newest addition to our family...well until he is bacon. Nolan surprised us the other day with a pig. Jarin asked me "mom can we name him wilber." So we have a little pig named wilber. It is kind of a funny thing. But at least we will have some good meat next year right.

We are so glad that that long winter is all over and we can enjoy some outdoor time.

Happy 4th Birthday Jarin

GONE FISHIN'

My baby boy turned 4 this past week. All he wanted for his birthday is to go fishing at the lake on our boat. So that is what he got . We went camping at the lake and he got to go fishing. He had a blast, although he just likes to cast his fishing pole over and over again. We finally took the hook out cus he kept getting it caught. He is quite a little boy, and always full of laughs. We love him so much. Life would be so boring without him around. Happy Birthday my big 4 year old.
The kids got into the cake and demolished it...

I could beat that boy sometimes!!! And then turn around and kiss him.

My sweet little Jarin... you just really never know what to do with that kid. For those of you who know him personally you will completely understand this one. We were working in our yard getting it ready to plant grass and all of the sudden we hear a car start. Which is not that uncommon to hear when Jarin is around he loves to play in cars. So i looked up to get after Jarin once again for playing in our vehicle and crap it was Nolan's truck which is a stick shift. There is no way he could have started that one without pushing in the clutch. We both ran as fast as we could and just couldn't get there fast enough. The truck julted out and ramed into the front of our house. We were both yelling STALL STALL. It didn't cus he had put it into 1st gear too.. (our kid is way to observant) We had just finished our garage the week before and put this beautiful brick on the front of it, and hung our new garage door. It was all smooshed to pieces. I just wanted to cry. My 3 year old boy ran our truck into our house. He knocked out studs and dented our door, and smashed our nice new brick. Not to mention our truck was hammered also. He felt so bad that he ran away and hid. I couldn't find him anywhere until I looked inside his play tent he had fallen asleep in it. It was a great learning experience for us all. He said he "was sorry for breaking our fancy house" We will never again leave the keys in a vehicle, and we learned that major things can be fixed with a hammer, a jack, some screws, some wood, new brick and a big hug.

Happy Birthday to our old man

Nolan turned 27 this week. We had cake and icecream Jarin thaught it was so great. He helped blow out the candles and unwrap presents. The kids had to wear party hats all day. They love their daddy and so do I, even if he is getting old.

SO SICK OF BEING STUCK INSIDE

We had a few snowy days this past week and Jarin was so cooped up so I had a great idea for his friend Trace to come and play. Then we decided to bundle up and build a snowman. I put them in charge of the carrot for the nose and I looked up to get it from them and Trace was taking bites out of it and had a mouthful of carrot. I said hey dude are you hungry? He said yeah i like carrots. It was so fun! I love when they play together they have quite an imagination. WE LOVED THE HOT COCO AFTER THAT!!!!

my pretty new princess shoes

Madi loves princess stuff all of the sudden...oh my gosh I am so in for it!!! We were looking for new shoes for her at walmart this week and she saw them hanging up and started to scream and point. Finally, I noticed that she wanted the princess shoes and handed them to her, not intending to really buy them. When it was time to put them back she threw the WORST fit ever! DRAMA already. So i decided that they were the shoes we were going to get. All day she had to wear them and then when i took them off to put her jammies on her she brought them to me, turned around, and sat on my lap. She wore them all night until she was asleep enough for me to sneek them off. The minute that she woke up this morning she had to have then on again...and they are on right this minute too. She is such a girl.

Oh where did my children go?

On Sunday I was getting things ready for church... you know how hectic that really gets to be. Nolan was at his meetings and my kids were 1/2 ready and I could hear them playing. Next thing I know it is silent. I mean the scarry kind of silent. I looked everywhere for them. Than all of the sudden I hear a little laugh and Jarin says "we are in here mom." Jarin crammed them both into my kitchen hutch. The doors were shut and everything. How they fit I do NOT know. Madi was laying on the top shelf and J on the bottom. It was so funny. It is a new game for them.

Our Latest Project

Jarin thinks that he is so big when
he is dad's little helper.

After living in our home for four years we fially found a way to finish our garage. Good things come to those who wait. And we have waited long enough now our home is completely finished! Until we have to renovate and change things. I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!!

Christmas Day at our house...

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We got so spoiled rotton. It was quite a fun morning. Jarin woke up and came down the stairs and saw what santa brought to him. He said " wow a tramopline! This is from uncle Lukes broken down car." Which is a dead give away that he found the hiding spot. Than he walked over to the train table that Santa also brought and said "this is from Brycen and Kynan's. Santa got it from their house." That is his cousins and we got the train table as a hand me down. I thought it would make a good santa gift and shoot!!! I bombed the first year of being a real santa. If Jarin believes in santa past a few more years of doing that then I will be surprised. It did make me and Nolan laugh at least. I hope that you all had a good Christmas and have a happy New Year!

ThankYou Karah for convincing my husband that I needed this for Christmas. I love It!!!!!!

(my friend Karah Flake took this picture and it is on a canvas print)

Polar Express

Jarin got to go on the Polar Express. His grandma Ava took him. The only bad thing was that she told him a few months too early. Everyone was so sick of hearing about it before it finally got here. His nursery teacher even commented on how she wished that the event would just hurry and get here. He was SO SO SO excited. He has the polar express movie memorized. And I do to. He thaught it was so cool. They got to ride to the North Pole and Santa got on the train and gave them all a bell. He loved every second of it.

I'm greatful for my little boy

I Love this little boy. Especially when he is asleep. I took this picture after I had a long day chasig him around. He makes my life completely wondful. Nolan had to go to work out of town and Jarin told me that he is going to get a big spanking when he gets home. I was rolling with laughter. Kids are cheep entertainment for sure. We are missing dad being around. I do love that man for being such a good provider though. He takes good care of us.
